Attention Parents of Incoming 7th Graders!

All incoming 7th grade students in Texas are required by law to have updated immunizations before they can attend school. These include a Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Pertussis) booster and the Meningococcal (MCV4) vaccine, which are typically due around age 11.

If your child hasn’t received these yet, don’t wait! Immunizations can be done through your child’s primary care providerlocal clinics or pharmacies, or for free at the Orange County Back 2 School event on August 2nd.

Once your child receives the necessary vaccines, be sure to turn in their updated shot record to the school nurse or campus office. Students will not be allowed to start 7th grade until their immunization records are on file.

If you have questions about which vaccines are required or how to provide records, please contact your campus nurse. We appreciate your help in keeping our students healthy and ready for the school year!
