Welcome to the English Language Arts and Reading Department!

 

The WOSMS ELAR department consists of a group of passionate teachers who enjoy all contents of literary works. In grade levels 6-8, students will learn how to comprehend, connect with texts, analyze different genres of text, and grow writing skills through the "Colored Writing Process".

 

We encourage that each student reads for 30 minutes a day to help increase reading fluency, recognition of different types of literature, and build on comprehension skills.
