Meet WOSMS Site Coordinator

Please allow me to take this opportunity to introduce myself! My name is Marquisha Washington. I am the newly appointed Communities In Schools Site Coordinator at West Orange- Stark Middle School. I am also a WOS Class of 2012 alumni! So, it is great to help with students in my community!

As a Site Coordinator, my primary responsibility is to assist in improving students behavior, attendance, academics, and social/emotional well-being activities. It is important to me that I work closely as a team with parents/guardians, teachers, administration, and staff to ensure students are receiving all the support they need to guide them through their middle school years. Also, if students need supplies or any personal hygiene items these items will be located with me in room 206.

I am excited to meet with students individually, in small groups, and in classrooms. If you know of any students who can benefit from this program, please let me know. I have parent consent forms that can be sent home with students and I also can send consent forms electronically.

I look forward to meeting all of you individually and learning the ropes, so that my transition onto this campus is as smooth as possible. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns. I look forward to working with you all and getting to know your students throughout the school year!
